Chris is an elected voting member serving a two-year term on the Executive Board as well as a founding member of Motor City Performing Arts. He began his marching career with Carlson High School Marching Band and later performed in the Eastern Michigan University Marching Band, Motor City Percussion, and Eastside Fury where he aged out in 2011 as the Ensemble Section Leader. After aging out, he was a performer with the Detroit Lions Drumline for seven years. Chris has worked with other groups such as West Bloomfield High School Marching Band and Winter Percussion Ensemble, Trenton High School, G-Force Winter Percussion, Ypsilanti Winter Percussion, and Ferndale Winter Drumline.

He is currently the program coordinator for Motor City Percussion and Lake Effect Percussion and also serves as the President of the Michigan Alliance for Performing Arts. Chris holds a BA in Secondary Education from Eastern Michigan University and a Masters in TESOL (Teaching English to Students of Other Languages) from Cornerstone University, and currently works as a Instructional Technology Coach at Melvindale-Northern Allen Park Schools.
